Microsoft Windows 10

Microsoft Windows 10

Microsoft Windows just released Windows 10 which is their last Operating System they are going to release according to their statements.  They will continue to upgrade it and patch it but it will remain Windows 10.  I’ve installed in and I have to say am very impressed.  They lost A LOT of people on Windows 8 but they took the best of Windows 7 and the best of Windows 8 to make Windows 10 so you will see a lot of both in Windows 10.  It also comes with a personal assistant named Cordana which makes using Windows 10 very simple.  All you have to do is say her name and what you want to do and she will give you a list of options or take you directly to where you requested.  So for those of you looking to save some money who purchased Windows 8, Microsoft is letting everyone upgrade to Windows 10 for FREE which is the rarest thing Microsoft has ever done.  This will last for about 1 year before it expires so if you are ready to make the upgrade on your current device, you can click on Microsoft Windows 10 and it will take you through a Wizard.  Just make sure you have anything critical backed up and are connected to a power source so you don’t run out of battery power during the update otherwise it will crash and then your off to getting it fixed.

Personally, I’ve spent about a month with it now and I was using Windows 8 on a Surface Pro 3 Tablet which I used occasionally.  Since I’ve upgraded to Windows 10, I have found myself reaching for my Surface Pro 3 Tablet more than my Chrome OS and Macbook.  Now let me tell you that I started out on Microsoft Windows ages ago and never gave another thought to different platforms.  UNTIL… Windows 8 got released and so I thought I would give Microsoft benefit of the doubt but it just wasn’t what meant for a Techie like myself.  Everything was hidden and harder to find and switching back and forth between screens was annoying to say the least.  I have to say Windows 10 is the real deal so thank you Microsoft for redeeming yourselves and offering it for free to both Windows 7 and Windows 8 Operating Systems.  As I said, all you have to do is click on the above link and it will do the rest.  I think you will find out that you instantly find it as refreshing as I did to see everything more familiar combined with new features, it felt like I was back at home.  Microsoft has put themselves back in the game and once they release the mobile version of Windows 10 and spend some time in their App Store developing some Apps, they may just start showing some growth in the Mobile Phone Market.  If the Mobile Phone version is anything like Windows 10, I may just purchase one myself because in a corporate world, Microsoft Windows is still the leader as it’s built for both purposes whereas all other platforms were never intended for large organizations.
