Google Demoting Websites that are not Mobile Friendly

Fleetwood Computers LLC Website

Web Development by Fleetwood Computers

We are excited to announce our partnership with a Web Developer who has outstanding capabilities.  She alone created our website from scratch using the most advanced and widely used Web Development software, WordPress.  Once everything was finalized, she handed over full control of the website and portal of WordPress to us so that we could manage our own website.  At first it appeared like a lot to learn but after 30 minutes of browsing through the Portal, it appeared to be the most simplest User Interface we’eve ever seen and are able to create our own content, perform our own updates, etc.  We are sharing this because we want to offer you a total Website overhaul.  Remember that Google modified their Search Engine to bypass websites that are not mobile friendly and since most people use their mobile devices to search for information, your website is not getting seen at all.  Our Partner designs all websites in a Mobile friendly version that looks equally amazing at the real website from a normal computer.  It does appear different but that’s part of the Mobile friendly experience.  we will soon be uploading some websites designed by our Partner so that you can see what all she can do.  The most important part that you get out of this is that she can design a $10,000 website for a fraction of the price.  Pricing is based on how many pages you want your website to have.  Contact us today to find out much your new website will cost.  We know you will not only be amazing with the price but also with the website and ease of use to manage your website.  You no longer need to pay to have your own Web Developer because we live in an era that just about anyone can manage a website once it’s built.  It doesn’t end here, we will continue to aid you if you ever need assistance or need to revisit and revise your website and if you are a company that requires continual modifications, we have several packages that you can choose from to maintain your website so you have nothing to worry about other than sending us the information you need modified.  Stop missing out on new business leads and get back on top of the search results!  Simply visit out “Contact Us” page and fill out the form and be sure to mention Web Development.

iPhone 6s Review

iPhone 6s Review

For those of you who didn’t know, the iPhone 6s has been released.  The biggest question is what could possibly be the difference between the iPhone 6.  In terms of performance, the Processor (that which has to do with how fast your phone runs and reacts) is now running an A9 chip with 64-bit architecture included with an embedded M9 motion coprocessor.  Using the phone is much faster and responds to touch in an instant with no delay.  Realistically, it’s twice as fast as the iPhone 6.  The other major hardware upgrade is the camera which now comes with a 12-megapixel iSight camera which is an extra 4 megapixels from the iPhone 6 which has an 8 megapixel camera.  The only other noticeable feature on the iPhone 6s is that it now comes in Rose Gold alongside the original colors of Gold, Space Grey, and Silver.  The iPhone 6s is also supposed to have a few extra hours of battery time which we all know is much needed.

Microsoft Windows 10

Microsoft Windows 10

Microsoft Windows just released Windows 10 which is their last Operating System they are going to release according to their statements.  They will continue to upgrade it and patch it but it will remain Windows 10.  I’ve installed in and I have to say am very impressed.  They lost A LOT of people on Windows 8 but they took the best of Windows 7 and the best of Windows 8 to make Windows 10 so you will see a lot of both in Windows 10.  It also comes with a personal assistant named Cordana which makes using Windows 10 very simple.  All you have to do is say her name and what you want to do and she will give you a list of options or take you directly to where you requested.  So for those of you looking to save some money who purchased Windows 8, Microsoft is letting everyone upgrade to Windows 10 for FREE which is the rarest thing Microsoft has ever done.  This will last for about 1 year before it expires so if you are ready to make the upgrade on your current device, you can click on Read more

BBB Accreditated A+ Logo

BBB A+ Accreditation

We wanted to share with you that upon our celebration of 4 years in Business on 9/1/2011, we also found out our Better Business Bureau Accreditation got bumped up from an A- to an A+ which is rare for business that have only been established for four years.  Normally it takes 7 years of exemplary service without complaints and contribution to the community.  Therefore, we could not have asked for a better gift than receiving an A+ from the BBB!  For those of you who debate on whether or not to acquire a BBB Accreditation, definitely consider it.  It not only has provided us with several leads that pays for the cost of the Accreditation each year but it also establishes stability, trust and loyalty to not only our clients but also our community.  Establishing a BBB Accreditation leaves a track record of your company that shows potential customers how well you treat your clients, how important they are to you, and that you are dedicated to your community by leaving a positive impact on it.  I say this because of the BBB core standards which can easily be found on their website.  Not all customers will refer to the BBB before they conduct business with you but a lot will and if you don’t have an accreditation then customers may wonder why and look for another company who does have a BBB accreditation.   You don’t have to have an A+ to gain customers because as a young company, customers realize that it takes time to receive an A+ so establish an accreditation early and let it built up.

Keeping Your Electronic Devices Safe Throughout the Summer

Summertime is great, but sometimes the heat can get the best of us—especially our electronics. It is completely normal to forget yo ur phone and/or other electronic devices in the car as you venture from place to place throughout the summer, and it is also common to leave them on the deck as you take a refreshing dip in the pool.  You may also enjoy working outside in the sun with Laptop and phone by your side sitting in the sun. But what you may not realize is that a scorching 100° day can mean the worst for your gadgets.

Your vehicle can easily exceed 160° F when left out in the sun while not in use, which surpasses the standard operating range for any electronic (between 32° and 95° F). Even the iPhone, which can operate up to 115° F, experiences technological discomfort under such conditions and will alert its user with a red warning flash across its screen. If disregarded, it will undergo a complete shut down until circumstances normalize, meaning it cools down to a temperature that allows it to turn back on. Read more

Secure browsing on Public WiFi

How to keep your Computer safe on a Public WiFi

Public WiFi is absolutely great to have for traveling and working from your local coffee shop.  The problem with public WiFi even if it is password protected is that all of your information is passed through the WiFi for anyone to intercept.  Someone with minimal computer knowledge can download aprogram that collects all the traffic on a WiFi network and then search that traffic for account information such as usernames and passwords.  Every time you enter your username and password to a website while on a Public WiFi, this information passes through the Public WiFi acces point allowing anyone else on the Public WiFi to grab it and use it against you.  This goes for banking information, account information, etc.  Albeit most people don’t know how to actually use the information they collect let alone collect it but the threat is very real.    Read more
